On the second day, we stopped by a restaurant for lunch. It was clean and the food was delicious, but the portions were small. The staff were neither particularly friendly nor unfriendly.

At that time, what stood out to me as Japan’s strengths were cleanliness, kindness, and politeness. Based on the experiences from the first and second days, it wasn’t significantly different from South Korea. This means Japan is overhyped, or South Korea is just as good.

둘째 날 한 식당에 들러 점심을 먹었습니다. 깨끗했고 음식도 맛있었지만, 양이 적었습니다. 직원들은 특별히 친절한 것도 아니고 불친절한 것도 아니었습니다.

이 당시의 나에게 일본의 뛰어난 점이라고 하면, 깨끗하고 친절하고 예의가 바르다는 것이었습니다. 첫날과 둘째 날까지의 경험으로 봤을 때 한국과 특별히 크게 다르지 않았습니다. 일본이 너무 과대평가됐거나, 한국이 일본만큼 좋다는 뜻이겠죠.
